VOLUNTEER WEEK

Thank you All Aboard Palmerston Volunteers!

April 25th - 29th is Volunteer Appreciation Week and we want to take a minute to say T H A N K  Y O U to all our incredible volunteers in Minto. Read below to find out a bit more about the members of our committee.

Meet the chair of the AAP Steering Committee, Terry Cormack!

Why did you decide to join this committee?

I have always had an interest in promoting our great Town, with it's points of interest, people, great businesses, and with the All Aboard Palmerston group being driven and supported not only by businesses but residents in Palmerston it gives a great variety of viewpoints and perspectives on how we see and appreciate our Town.

What is your favourite event or activity to plan as a member of your committee?

As a member of the steering committee for All Aboard Palmerston, we hear about all of the various projects and events that the group as a whole is looking at and planning. We have some great people in each of the various committees - events, beautification - and lots of good ideas to work with.

What is the best part of being on this committee/what do you find valuable about this experience?

For me, the best part is the satisfaction of being a champion for the Town that I have called home since 1985. I have always felt and believed that Palmerston is a great place to live and do business, so to be able to be part of a committee to promote our Town is pretty satisfying.

Is there anything else you would like to share with someone who is considering volunteering in Minto?

I would absolutely encourage anyone to get involved - even in a small way - with the opportunity to "brag" a bit about the great community we live in, and the opportunity to shape and promote how others in communities beyond us here see us, and perhaps encourage them to come and visit with us for a little while. There is no greater feeling than having a stranger - or new friend! - say they were glad they spent some time visiting with us, and that they look forward to coming back!

Meet the co-chair of the AAP Beautification Committee, Taylor Keunen!
