All Aboard Palmerston was initiated in June 2019 and is a grass roots, community led movement to revitalize downtown Palmerston!
Palmerston has a strong railway heritage and to build on this, All Aboard Palmerston will focus efforts around creating picturesque, railway- themed moments and events in Palmerston through several key areas: Events & programming, Beautification, Fundraising and Promotions.
All Aboard Palmerston is a collaboration of key stakeholders in the com m unity. From businesses, residents and service clubs, to local talent and the Town of Minto, this is truly a com m unity led movement! Our goal is to make Downtown Palmerston a true experience and a FUN destination for all!
Steering Committee
The Steering Committee is responsible for the overall All Aboard Palmerston movement. The Steering Committee will work directly with Town of Minto staff and the various sub-committees to ensure the overall project is meeting its goals.
Beautification Committee
The Beautification Committee is involved in selecting and installing street tree and public space lighting, coordinating seasonal décor, assisting with colour walls and working with the Events & Programming Committee to create photo booth back drops.
Events & Programming Committee
The Events and Programming Committee is responsible for developing year-round programming in the Lions Heritage Park or working with community groups to encourage them to host their events downtown.
Fundraising Committee
The Fundraising Committee is responsible for creating a sponsorship forms, recruiting sponsors and other initiatives to raise funds for All Aboard Palmerston Projects.
Promotions Committee
The Promotion Committee is responsible for getting the word out about All Aboard Palmerston initiatives via web, traditional media, social media, posters, sharing the stories, acting as ambassadors for the projects.
