The Raleway Festival is coming full-steam ahead!

Our goal is to bring a new demographic to our picturesque and heritage-rich Railway Museum in Palmerston and treat them with local breweries, wineries, cideries and distilleries, with local food to accompany your beverages!

Hand Car Races & Corn Hole Tournament


New this year, the Palmerston Firefighter Association will be hosting Hand Car Races & a Corn Hole Tournament.


Hand Car Races

  • $50 per team (includes free admission for 5 team members)
  • Categories: Men's, Women's, & Mixed.
  • When registering, you will need to provide the name of the Team Captain, names of all 5 team members, your Team Name, and contact information.


Corn Hole Tournament

  • $20 per team (includes free admission for 2 team members)
  • When registering, you will need to provide the name of the Team Captain, names of both team members, your Team Name, and contact information.


Registration includes admission to the event for all team members. Please
purchase your team ticket here.


Please note: In the event of poor weather, the Corn Hole Tournament and Hand Car Races may be cancelled without refund. The main event runs rain or shine, and your Corn Hole and Hand Car Race ticket still includes event admission.

Tour the picturesque and heritage-rich Palmerston Railway Heritage Museum just across the tracks from the venue and enjoy food, festivities, entertainment, and refreshments courtesy of local breweries, cideries, wineries and distilleries.

  • I am coming to the Raleway Festival, now what?

    Guests can check in at the front gate.

    • If you bought tickets on Zeffy (online ticketing platform) - checkin at the "Prepaid tickets" line
    • If you are purchasing tickets at the event - check in at the "Purchase Tickets" line

    Drink tokens are available for purchase for $2.50 at a table past the gate. You can redeem these at each vendor booth for a drink (1oz spirit, 3oz mixed drink, or 4oz beer). Please ensure all alcoholic beverages stay inside the indicated gates.


    You can enjoy drinks, music, food from food trucks, on picnic tables under the pavilion.



  • What are the event hours?

    This event runs from 12pm-6pm. You are welcome to come anytime within these hours. We are expecting a crowd, so please be patient and courteous to our vendors and volunteers. Thank you!

  • Is this event Rain or Shine?

    Yes! The main event runs rain or shine, so grab your crew, your rain jacket if needed, and come enjoy the festivities. The Hand Car Races and Corn Hole TouramTournamentent will be weather permitting.

  • Is there an age restriction on this event?

    Yes, this event is AGE OF MAJORITY only.

  • When does the Corn Hole Tournament begin?

    Please arrive by 12:00 PM and check in at the registration booth, located at the back corner of the pavilion. We plan to begin the tournament at 12:15 PM sharp.


    Tournament Format

    • All teams are guaranteed at least 3 round-robin games.
    • The Top 16 teams will advance to a single-elimination playoff bracket.
    • The championship match will be played as a best-of-three series.
    • The tournament is expected to run until approximately 6:00 PM, depending on the number of teams registered.

    There will be breaks between games, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the food, beverages, live music, and activities throughout the festival.


    Your festival admission is included with your team registration.


  • When do the Hand Car Races start?

     Time trials will begin at 12:30 PM. Upon arrival, please check in at the registration booth, located at the back corner of the pavilion.


    Race Format

    • All teams are guaranteed 2 races: one time trial and one elimination race.
    • Each team will complete a solo time trial to determine seeding.
    • Time trials will remain open until approximately 3:00 PM, depending on the number of teams registered.
    • Teams will then compete in a seeded single-elimination bracket.
    • Racing is expected to conclude by approximately 5:00 PM, depending on the number of teams registered.

    Between races, you'll have plenty of time to explore the festival and enjoy the food, beverages, live music, and entertainment on site.


    Your festival admission is included with your team registration.

  • Will the Hand Car rides and Corn Hole Tournament run rain or shine?

    The Hand Car rides and Corn Hole Tournament are weather-dependent and may be cancelled in the event of poor weather for safety reasons. Please note that Corn Hole Tournament and Hand Car Race tickets are non-refundable, as they also include admission to the main event.

  • Do I have to sign up for the Hand Car rides and Corn Hole Tournament in advance?

    Yes. Advance registration is required for both the Hand Car Races and the Corn Hole Tournament, as space is limited and time slots may fill quickly. Registration is online only via Zeffy.

  • Where can I get tickets?

    Tickets can be purchased in advance on Zeffy (linked above) until Thursday, June 18, at 12pm. Afterwards, tickets will be availble at the door for CASH ONLY.

    Tickets are $10 in advance for admission and $15 at the gate. T-shirts can be added to your ticket for an additional $5. Raleway Cups may be available on site while supplies last. 

  • Are tickets refundable?

    Tickets are non-refundable. All event admission tickets remain valid rain or shine. Please note that if poor weather causes the Corn Hole Tournament or Hand Car rides to be cancelled, refunds will not be issued.

  • I bought tickets on Zeffy, how do I redeem them?

    Pre-purchased ticket holders will have an express admission line at the gate.  Please look for signs to ensure you are in the correct line and we will check you in.  If you purchased a "ticket + shirt" your shirt will be given to you upon arrival. Please be prepared to show your ticket at the gate.

  • Will there be a cup for purchase this year?

    There will not be a special Raleway Festival cup for sale this year. You are encouraged to bring your own cup, or plastic cups will be available for free on site. 


    There may be speciality cups from previous years available for sale on site while supplies last. 

  • How do I purchase alcoholic drinks at this event?

    Drink tokens are available for purchase for $2.50 at a table past the gate. Please be prepared to show your ID.


     You can redeem these at each vendor booth for a drink (1oz spirit, 3oz mixed drink, or 4oz beer).


    Please ensure all alcoholic beverages stay inside the indicated gates.



  • Can I bring my dog?

    While we love your furry friends, we appreciate if you DO NOT bring your dog to this event. Thank you!

  • What is parking like?

    There is limited parking available at the venue. Expect to park on the street or in municipal parking lots,  and walk a few blocks. We ask that you do not block any driveways.

  • Are there washrooms available?

    Yes. There are washroom's located on site.

  • Is there food and non-alcoholic beverages available?

    Yes! You can purchase food and non-alcoholic beverages from a variety of food booths, just inside the gate.

  • Does this event take debit?

    NO! This event is CASH ONLY. ATMS are located at downtown at the CIBC or at Jays Convenience.
